Route To Spice Things Up At Ascot

Spice Route will step up in class to tackle the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The King´s Best colt has won two of his three starts to date, lifting a competitive handicap at York´s Dante meeting on his latest outing.

Trainer Michael Bell is now eyeing a leap to Group Two company with Spice Route, who is out of the handler´s 2001 Italian Oaks winner Zanzibar.

'The plan is to run in the King Edward VII. He is a very progressive horse and we expect him to run a good race,' said Bell.
