Sale topper set for debut

Ballydoyle`s Tasmanian Tiger, last year`s most expensive yearling at US$6.8 million, is set to make his long-awaited debut at the Curragh tomorrow.

Trainer Aidan O`Brien had hoped to run the son of Storm Cat at the Kildare track last Saturday but was forced to withdraw the colt because of the soft ground.

With the Curragh going currently described as yielding, good on the round course Tasmanian Tiger has been declared to run in the opening Go Racing In Kildare EBF Maiden over seven furlong with Michael Kinane booked to ride.

Later on the card O`Brien has his customary strong hand in the Group Three Juddmonte Beresford Stakes with four runners. They are Anticline, Camp David, Castle Gandolfo and Kasparov.

Stable jockey Kinane will be on board Castle Gandolfo.

Mark Johnston`s Bouncing Bowdler and the Peter Makin-trained Spencers Wood represent British interests in the Listed Waterford Testimonial Stakes over six furlongs.
