Scudamore amateur champion Tom Scudamore was crowned with the British 2000/1 National Hunt Amateur Riders` title at Stratford this afternoon.The 19-year-old son of seven-times champion jockey Peter finished the season, which concluded with today`s meeting, on the 23-winner mark, two ahead of nearest pursuer Ben Hitchcott.Both riders will now turn professional and join the conditional ranks before the new National Hunt season gets into full swing.However, Scudamore, who is attached to Martin Pipe`s stable, is to delay his switch in order to compete on the Flat in amateur riders` contests during the summer.
