Soft Ground Could Stop Magic Show

Paul Nicholls has warned he will not risk Twist Magic in the paddypower.com Tingle Creek Chase if the ground at Sandown is unsuitably soft.

The Ditcheat trainer wants 'decent' ground for the talented five-year-old, who is on target for the two-mile feature on December 8 following his successful reappearance at Kempton two weeks ago.

'He´s all ready for the Tingle Creek but I would like to see the ground fairly decent - we wouldn´t want it too soft,' Nicholls told At The Races.

'If the ground is testing it would have to change our plans.'

Twist Magic ended the last campaign with victory in the Grade One Maghull Novices´ Chase at Aintree after falling in the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham.

He is generally available at 5-1 for the Queen Mother Champion Chase at next year´s Festival.
