Soviet On Song For New Campaign Soviet Song is reported to be 'in great form' as she prepares for another season at the highest level. The six-year-old, trained by James Fanshawe, has won five times in Grade One company and netted almost #1million in prize money for her owners, the Elite Racing Club. Soviet Song has not raced since finishing second in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood in July - which she won in 2004 - as minor setbacks prevented her from having an autumn campaign. 'She´s in great form and we´re looking forward to getting her back this year,' said Elite´s racing manager Matthew Budden. 'The campaign maps itself out for her really. She´ll go for all the top mile races she can. 'The Lockinge (at Newbury on May 20) is one of the first possible targets, so if she´s ready in time I don´t see why not.' Soviet Song´s two-year-old full-sister, owned and bred by Elite, has joined Fanshawe and been named Sister Act. 'She´s doing really well and James quite likes her but he´s not done much with her yet,' added Budden. 'She´s called Sister Act and was named by one of the members. 'I don´t think we´ll see her out particularly early. She´s probably a bigger filly than Soviet Song is.'(C) PA Sport
