Spencer Back In Winning Groove Jamie Spencer had two reasons to celebrate at Haydock on Friday as he partnered his first winner after completing a lengthy suspension on his 27th birthday.Spencer was banned for a total of 15 days after five separate incidents late last month but he wasted little time in returning to the winner´s enclosure.Riding the well-backed 15-8 favourite Mickmacmagoole, Spencer steered Seamus O´Donnell´s Irish raider to a comfortable three-length win in the Tony And Kieran Memorial Handicap.Spencer said: 'I expected to win the previous race but the horse was green so that´s the way it went.'It was a moderate enough race but he kept going which was fine. He was a little bit doggy in front, he hit the rail but it was grand enough.'He got a touch of a leg last year so the trainer has done well to get him back,' he told Racing UK.Spencer later made it a double aboard the Pat Eddery-trained Galianna in the Blythewood Maiden Stakes.(C) PA Sport
