Strolling Home survives enquiry at Kilbeggan

The well-backed Strolling Home (7/1 to 5/1) was a popular winner at Kilbeggan on Sunday when landing the Bloomfield House Hotel Hurdle in the coulours of race sponsor John Connaughton.

Strolling Home edged sharply right after jumping the final flight, in turn hampering the runner-up Iberian Light, but following a lenghty stewards enquiry the placings remained unaltered.

Connaughton is one of the longest standing sponsors at Kilbeggan racecourse.

Josh Byrne, the winning rider, was deemed to have ridden carelessly and was suspended for two racedays.
