Subtle Shimmer takes Curragh win in her stride

Subtle Shimmer has been given a clean bill of health after scoring in a 24-runner handicap at the Curragh on Sunday.

The Danehill Dancer filly was having only her second run for Joanna Morgan since leaving Dermot Weld?s yard and hung on by a neck from Romeo?s On Fire in a thrilling finish.

Despite being sent off a relatively unconsidered 20-1 chance, Subtle Shimmer defied top weight in game fashion. "There´s not a bother on her. She ate up, seems happy and she?s in great form," said Morgan.

"She´s tough and she is a nice one. She was bought as a broodmare so it would be great if we can get her placed in a Listed race after that win.

"She did it well and I was very happy with her. She´s a nice, strong stamp of a filly."stamp of a filly."
