Teofilo In Flying Form Connections of Teofilo are growing in confidence as the Stan James 2000 Guineas swiftly approaches.Jim Bolger´s long-time ante-post favourite for the one-mile Classic suffered a minor setback last week but delighted his handler in a serious piece of work at the weekend.'I´m very happy with him and he worked exceptionally well on Saturday morning for Kevin Manning over six and a half furlongs on our wood-chip gallop on which we do most of our work,' Bolger explained.'I´d have respect for all of them but at the moment I´m just concentrating on getting my horse to Newmarket in the best possible condition, and if I can do that I´ll be very happy going there.'Until he has a couple of weeks behind him and is well and truly out of it you never know, but it´s a case of so far so good with him,' Bolger told the Racing Post.'I had him ready before the setback and I was very happy after his work at the weekend.'Teofilo yesterday appeared along with 29 others in the remaining confirmations for Saturday´s feature at Newmarket. There were no shock absentees for a race in which Teofilo is likely to be joined by stablemate Slaney Time, who could be asked to make the running at the weekend.'He´s a front-runner,' added Bolger, 'and the plan is to run him also. David Moran will ride.'(C) PA Sport
