TIZNOW BLED WHEN BEATEN

Trainer Jay Robbins has revealed that Horse of the Year, Tiznow, bled slightly when a below-par second to Wooden Phone in the Strub Stakes at Santa Anita last weekend.

The trainer added that Tiznow may have the dose of his anti-bleeding medication (lasix) adjusted for his next assignment, the Santa Anita Handicap on March 3rd.

Otherwise there were no apparent excuses for the defeat of the Breeders` Cup Classic winner.

He said: 'I don`t have have a any valid explanations.

'He should have been able to punch it in coming home, but he will be back.

'Everything looks good right now. We even took a blood sample as a precaution and everything came back normal.'
