TRAINERS TO BOYCOTT LEOPARDSTOWN? The Irish Racehorse Trainers Association has issued a statement asking its members not to make entries for the proposed Saturday evening fixture at Leopardstown on July 6th unless it becomes an afternoon meeting.The statement adds:'The proposed Evening Fixture is being provided as a trial, but surprisingly, with no consultation between HRI and IRTA. It appears that there is nothing to be gained by Trainers, Jockeys and Staff, and much to lose with unsociable hours and vastly increased staff expenses accompanied by extra time off with the resultant knock-on effects on yards.'
