Turf Club dismiss appeals

The Turf Club Appeals Body met today to hear two appeals and dismissed both.

Trainer Willie Mullins appealed against the decision of the acting stewards at Downpatrick on 27th February when they allowed the result to stand following an enquiry into the course taken by the winner Preswell Lad. His appeal was also dismissed and ordered to pay ?750 towards costs.

The Turf Club appeals body also ordered rider Colm O´Donoghue to pay ?200 for withdrawing his appeal against a two-day suspension picked up at Dundalk last November.
