UTTOXETER LOSE EASTER MEETING Uttoxeter racecourse have abandoned their two-day Easter meeting scheduled for April 16th-17th. The Midlands course remains in a foot-and-mouth exclusion area and officials have been advised by the British Horseracing Board that the meeting will not be able to go ahead. 'The racecourse still remains within the boundaries of the infected area and the BHB will not permit us to race,' said commercial executive Lisa Needham. 'Naturally we are extremely disappointed to lose these fixtures. However, we believe the BHB is currently reassessing its policy concerning which courses can and cannot race and we await further information.'
