Walsh takes a day off

Ruby Walsh, who was kicked on the back in a fall at Ayr yesterday, has given up his rides at Listowel today.

The jockey came off Enrique in the Doubleprint Novices` Handicap Chase and was stood down for the rest of the afternoon.

His father, Ted, said: 'Ruby is fine. He rode out for me this morning but he`s a little bit sore and I`ve advised him to take a day or two off.'

The jockey is due to partner Commanche Court for his father in the Powers Gold Label Tote Gold Cup at Fairyhouse on Wednesday.
