Washington Tops Anne Contenders George Washington will face seven rivals as he returns to the track in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot tomorrow. The four-year-old was initially retired to stud at the end of last season but he went back into training with Aidan O´Brien after breeding difficulties.Last year´s 2000 Guineas hero is set to clash with Lockinge Stakes first and second, Red Evie and Ramonti, in the mile heat. The former, who is trained by Michael Bell, is the only filly in the field as she chases a third Group One success.Godolphin´s Ramonti will be joined by stablemate Notability while Sir Michael Stoute relies on Jeremy.Cesare represents James Fanshawe with French raiders Racinger and Turtle Bowl completing the line-up.Both Bet Direct and VC Bet make George Washington the 11-10 favourite to make a triumphant return, with the supplemented Cesare a best-priced 5-1 with the latter firm.(C) PA Sport
