Weld enters five for Cup Trainer Dermot Weld has entered five horses for this year´s Melbourne Cup in Australia. Weld, who won the race last year with Media Puzzle, has entered In Times Eye, Lowlander, Maharib, Vinnie Roe as well as the 2002 winner. Aidan O´Brien has one entry in Black Sam Bellamy. A total of 281 entries were received for the race. Godolphin have a typically strong hand in the race with last year´s third Beekeeper one of their major hopes. Trainer Saeed bin Suroor also has Highdown, Highest, Leadership, Mamool, Millstreet, Pugin and Sights On Gold as possible runners. Jardines Lookout heads a list of 31 British-trained horses entered for the Tooheys New sponsored event. The two-mile contest is staged at Flemington racecourse on November 4th.
