Breeding to die for and performance not half bad either

Out of dual Guineas heroine, Finsceal Beo, out of super-sire Galileo, Foreign Secretary (13/2) has it on both sides as they say, and the chestnut put up a nice performance in the Follow Limerick Racecourse On Facebook Hurdle.

Favourite Rocky Shores didn't make it easy in front for his rider Eamonn Corbett, and it wasn't any surprise that he had no more to offer from two out when the Ryan Treacy-ridden victor put his stamp on things.

Eleven lengths eventually split them and winning trainer John Halley's son Josh said: "It was a good performance and he had been doing everything well at home.

"We thought if he got the rest of them off the bridle early he would have a chance today and Ryan gave him a great ride. We knew he'd stay galloping as in all his other races he has finished strongly.

"I don't know what the plans are now and Dad is the main man to figure out where he goes."

D.J. Mullins, rider of Colour Me In trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right handed.
