Craic Eile (6/1) was another winner for in-form 7lb claimer Shane Fitzgerald in the Flynn Hotels Handicap Hurdle.

The 4-year-old, nicely in at the foot of the weights with just 10st 4lb to carry, tracked the leaders travelling well before coming through to lead between the final two flights.

He wasn’t hard pressed to account for Gold Des Bois (10/1) by two and a half lengths.

It was a second win at Tramore for the Palavicini gelding after a maiden hurdle success under the same rider in June.

Owned by the Connery Family Syndicate who also had plenty of sport with six-time winner Here For The Craic, the winner is trained in Tallow by Ken Budds who was on lead-up duties.

“"He is improving all the time," said Budds.

“He loves it here and jumped great. He is in again on Saturday (over 1m4f on the Flat) and if he comes out of this okay, he will be back!"
