Jockey Danny Mullins will ride Forza Milan for James Nash in tomorrow’s feature race of the Listowel Harvest Festival, the Guinness Kerry National, and told Dave Keena he thinks his mount has a good chance of success off a light weight.
"I think his Cheltenham run was fairly solid. He seemed to improve all the way through last year," Mullins said.
"These big handicaps tend to show preference for unexposed novices. Hopefully off a light weight he is a lively outsider.
"The fact that he has had a little bit of winter form is a help with rain forecast, we'll see how much falls. Listowel can often turn the ground around fairly quickly.
"James Nash's horses are in form which is always a positive."
Forza Milan was last seen finishing fourth in the Grade 2 National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
