Under the jockey change, James O’Sullivan, Royal Kahala (4s into 2/1favourite) justified the confidence of her backers in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race at Fairyhouse.

Peter Fahey has care of the victorious daughter of Flemensfirth for the Winning Ways Starlet Syndicate, and she was bred by Robert McCarthy at famed Waterford farm, The Beeches Stud.

At the third time of asking Royal Kahala blitzed her rivals, beating Socially Distant by twelve lengths.

“I was disappointed with her run the last day but Declan Lavery told me afterwards that she needed the run,” said Fahey.

“She's a nice filly, going back to her first run. She's a massive filly and we'll see whether she goes for another bumper, I'll speak to the syndicate. We do think an awful lot of her.

“I'm actually raging for poor Seamus (Perry) in the yard who forgot to do the health screening. It would have been his first winner so it's bitter-sweet for him as he does all the work with her and rides her every day.

“James gave her a great ride and she's a nice filly. We'll see now whether she goes for the Listed bumper at Navan in a few weeks time or goes hurdling I don't know yet. She's a nice one to look forward to.”

J.P. O'Sullivan replaced Mr S. Perry on Royal Kahala, trained by Peter Fahey (Race 8)(Rider administration error).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Glenveagh Park (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

At the request of the Stewards, Mr C. Mullins, rider of Birthday Bayeb trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was pulled up early in this race as his saddle had slipped soon after the start.
