Sincerest looked a winner waiting to happen for a while now and she came good for owner/breeder Sue Ann Foley and trainer Joseph O’Brien in the Kenmare Handicap at Killarney.

Mrs Magnier owns Sincerest with the Foleys, and as a daughter of Fastnet Rock out of a Galileo mare this was an important success.

Albeit it came from a mark of just 56 with cheek-pieces swapped for blinkers, but there could be more to come from the three-year-old on the back of this confidence boosting four and three parts of a length success under Wayne Lordan.

Unruly in the stalls Evergreen And Red took the silver medal.

"I think first-time blinkers helped and she travelled good today on the bit of better ground. He said, with the blinkers, when he gave her a squeeze she picked up well but nearly too well,” said O’Brien’s representative Brendan Powell.

"She has gone and won now so it's great."

S. Foley, rider of South East Star trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

W.J. Lee, rider of In The Attic trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very slowly away from stalls.
