Sors is fast becoming a Curragh specialist as he proved too good for the remainder in the concluding six furlong handicap.

Killan Leonard soon had him in the lead from stall 14. The pair travelled strongly as all the horses came off the bridle coming to the final couple of furlongs.

The four-year-old was ridden outside the final furlong and he found another gear to storm home by a length and three parts.

The 7/1 shot beat Blairmayne (11/2) into second. Another 11/2 chance, Peacehaven was a neck down in third spot. Penny Pepper the well backed 5/1 favourite, came in last of the 13 runners.

Handler Andy Slattery said: "I thought that the handicapper had him. He'll go with the other horse (An Saighdiur) to the Silver Cup at Ayr. He went too fast early on in the Scurry and cut his own throat. That's his third win in the Curragh this year."
