Gowran Park Tue, 5th May, 2026  Aurora Mist We fancied her the last day and she ran stink. We found out that she had an entrapped epiglottis and she had an operation for it. That explains the improvement,. She got a lovely run down the inner and she gave her a lovely ride. I’m hoping she’ll improve from that, I don’t think she was fully straight today and she said she had a blow at the furlong pole. The handicapper can’t do much to her for that.

Wed, 22nd Apr, 2026  Kitty Bear Orla was hitting the front too soon on her in her last few runs so I explained to her today to hold her up,. The filly wasn't helping her by stopping out in front and running around the place, and probably should have won at Dundalk two starts ago. She is versatile and is great for Orla, who is with me full-time and is a great worker. The owners (Kerwins and Kehoes, relations from Laois and Tipperary) had a few horses who were out injured, so I told them to buy this one. She only cost the lads 2,000 euro and has now won twice.

Curragh Sun, 19th Apr, 2026  Bint Majestic Roi She was bred to be a mile-and-a-quarter filly and we were training her that way,. Then we started working her this year and she was leading a few horses. Suddenly they couldn’t get to her so we said ‘maybe this one is a sprinter’. We bought her for six grand last year in the Newmarket sales. She has a good pedigree, she’s by Ghaiyyath and it’s all stamina. The dam is a half-sister to Hi Riyal, who was second in a Guineas. We’ll keep tipping away and see where she ends up. We own her ourselves, she runs in my nephew William’s colours. If someone comes for her we’ll never refuse money!

Leopardstown Wed, 15th Apr, 2026  Exceeding Exceeding is what he is although I want to get him up in the handicap, as he’s very lowly rated and is probably better than his mark. I have a few girl apprentices who haven’t ridden yet so I want to get him rated higher, and not suspended from running, so they can have a few spins on him. He’s also actually worth having as a lead horse, as he’s very good to lead the two-year-olds. He’s actually better than what he lets on he is!. The seven furlongs today definitely helped, he looked like he needed every bit of it there. I’d say an ease in the ground is a help to him too.

Tue, 14th Apr, 2026  Royal Hollow She is over-brave and at home we have to keep a lid on her. We did a good bit of schooling with her but we couldn't do too much either as she is too brave - she is not a married man's ride.
