Gowran Park Sat, 19th Sep, 2026  Chipsrdown It was grand to get one out of the day,. She's won her last two. We gave her a break during the summer because the ground was gone too quick. We'll tip away now on a bit of soft ground and probably even step her up to a mile-and-a-quarter. She always showed a good bit, but disappointed a lot of times. Andrew (Slattery, son and jockey) had to stand down today to give Sam the chance of another winner. He'll have to stand down on a few of them now for that. Sam is a bit heavy, so it's his last chance (for the apprentice championship).

Ballinrobe Fri, 11th Sep, 2026  Iron Sword It was straightforward and, in fairness, he was very unlucky the last day at Roscommon (third). Adam had to ride him the way he did then, just to give him a bit of experience, but he got wiped out. It was a small field here, and he kept things simple.

Kilbeggan Thu, 3rd Sep, 2026  Call My Name He clipped heels in the dip in Tramore. Other than that, he'd have been a close second.

Roscommon Mon, 31st Aug, 2026  Letiza We don’t have her that long, about three months,. She was in England and wasn’t running well there, so they brought her back. She’s run well on every run for us and it was a good run in the Curragh the last day. I’m delighted to win for the lads, she’s after being in a lot of stables. He (Andrew) thought he was in front too soon. He said he wouldn’t hit the front again as soon, as she was idling a bit. I think she’ll go on soft ground too.

Sun, 30th Aug, 2026  Lauderdale King He was crying out for a bit of ease in the ground so we fancied him today when we got a bit of rain,. He ran well in Leopardstown but the ground was a bit quick for him. Hopefully he'll get another one in that grade. He jumps well and he'll go over hurdles. He's a grand horse. He did what we expected today.

Cork Sun, 30th Aug, 2026  Sunrise Angel I thought this horse would be rated a lot higher by now. He was disappointing and was hanging in his races. Thanks to (vet) Ger Kelly he spotted a thing with kissing spines after his last run. We had him treated for it and it seems to have made a difference. He didn't hang today and did everything right. He had a good run when he was beaten a neck in a Curragh nursery last year and he was working like one of our best two-year-olds in the autumn. He came here on his first run this year and ran badly. We brought him over the Ger and he found the problem. I thought he'd be a horse in the mid 70s, at least, by now. Hopefully there is more to come. It's only three weeks since he was done and he should improve a bit from the run. We didn't do a lot with him since.

Curragh Sat, 29th Aug, 2026  Loughrea We thought he was very well handicapped at 91. Sure, you don't know until you try. You only think these things, but they don't always work out. I have him in Champions Weekend in the Northfields, but he'll probably come here for the Concorde now. Dropping him back to seven (furlongs) won't be a problem. He'll be rated 100 anyway, so I suppose handicaps are out. It's only his sixth run. His first run in Leopardstown last year, he was as green as grass. I only had him about two months. John was doing him himself at home and sent him on. He just done nothing but improve. He only won by half-a-length at Leopardstown the last day, but he could have won four. It was a comfortable half-length, an easy watch.

Navan Thu, 27th Aug, 2026  Sunrush We were a bit worried about that (trip); we didn't know what to expect. The last 100 yards he pulled out a bit again, so we will be happy with that. He actually jumps very well.
