FormscanBy Donal Murphy - TEOLEENA should prove hard to beat here after she eased to victory at Gowran recently. The Jim Bolger trained daughter of Teofilo won by four and a quarter lengths at the Co Kilkenny venue with her rider Kevin Manning citing the drop back in trip and the better ground as the key factors behind the success. The ground should again be to her liking here and the increase in trip by a furlong shouldn't inconvenience her. The Ger Lyons trained Bad News Bear is given second preference. He disappointed last week at Bellewstown but his rider Colin Keane reported to the Stewards that his mount didn't handle the track. He is stepped up in trip now and a much improved performance can be expected from him. Along with the selection Greeneyed Monster is the only other previous winner in the field. He won his maiden at Killarney last July and while he has been disappointing since it will be interesting to see how he gets on now stepped up in trip to a mile and two for the first time.
