FormscanBy Alan Magee - BARNEY STINSON looks the one to beat. The Mouse Morris-trained gelding indicated a maiden win is well within his compass when placed twice over this trip at Cork, notably when third to Ganapathi, and hopefully he’s none the worse of a fall last time at Leopardstown. Son Of Hypnos was a progressive handicapper on the Flat last year winning three times over a mile and a half including on heavy ground at Galway and Naas. He was soundly beaten when switched to hurdles here last week. Dawn Wonder was far from disgraced here on debut last week and could well progress from that experience, while newcomer Sandmall and Mephisto are others to note. The latter won on the Flat last year for Ralph Beckett but appears best on a sounder surface.
