FormscanBy Tom Weekes - CALTHOR can get off the mark over hurdles. An impressive winner of his point-to-point in April 2019, he returned following a 559 days layoff this season and was 5.25L fourth to subsequent Grade 1 winner Belfast Banter at Galway in October. Well held on his three chase outings since, he ran well enough when third on testing ground at Wexford last month and while the form of that race is not overly strong, he looks the type who should do better on today's sounder surface. Carrig Rock is a capable and consistent performer and while well proven on testing ground over middle-distances and in point-to-points, he drops back to two miles for the first time over jumps on slightly faster ground today, which isn't ideal. Charlie Siringo lacks a recent run but is a useful handicapper who looks the type to win a summer maiden hurdle, and should prove competitive today. Fort William showed some improvement in first-time blinkers at Clonmel while Ricky Bobby was third in an ordinary Clonmel maiden and Lead Light To Dawn was fourth in another Clonmel maiden 15 days ago.
A hurdle for four years old and upwards colts and geldings only, maidens at startingWeights - 4-y-o 11st 4lbs 5-y-o and up 12st
