FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SKONTONOVSKI is 7lbs higher than when winning over course and distance last week but is improving and is open to further progression. A half-brother to two black-type performers and a sibling to three other winners, well-bred SKONTONOVSKI was initially rated 79 and while now climbing back to 71, won comfortably last week. Swiss Army Officer is somewhat unexposed on the all-weather, having run just five times, and was narrowly beaten over CD in December 2019 and comes here in good form under his 4lbs claimer. Woodrow met some trouble in-running at Fairyhouse last month but is a previous course winner who is well suited to this trip. Lord McZie is another course winner, but at 5f and his best form being at shorter trips. Brosna Empress, a 3yo maiden, was second to the selection here last month and has place claims. Resourceful Man's best form is at 6f and while he ran well on his only start at 7f, is badly drawn in 17. Thunder Rain has useful form and debuts on the all-weather.
