FormscanBy Alan Magee - BURREN SONG showed promise on the polytrack at Dundalk before scoring over ten furlongs at Cork this spring and then made a promising start over hurdles at Tipperary last month. The Andy Slattery-trained gelding had Eagle Terrace and Laser Focus both behind when third to the front-running Must Meet Cecil and, with the benefit of that jumping experience under his belt, should go close here. Ballyquin Bay has run with some credit on both outings in big field maidens at Naas and Punchestown, while Prince Of Verona is another to consider. He was rated in the 80s last summer on the Flat and was placed last week in a Gowran claimer having also beaten all bar Prairie Dancer in a Cork maiden hurdle at Easter.
