FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ECHOES IN RAIN might prove best here as she returns to action. A useful dual flat winner in her native France, she was pitched straight in at Grade 1 level on hurdles debut at Leopardstown in December and while beaten 53L, didn't run too badly. She was in touch with some high class novices entering the home straight then (two useful horses were well behind her) and while she tired, her jumping should have improved and today's race is a big drop in class. Ideal Pal is a notable jumps recruit, having attained a flat rating of 85. He is proven on heavy ground, is a capable middle-distance performer and should get involved today. Papal Lodge is a bumper winner but disappointed on his latest start in August. He returns here and while vulnerable to any smart types, should still get involved for the placings. Mahons Glory ran well on debut before disappointing at Galway in July and is possibly best watched on hurdles debut. Jennys Star is out of a bumper winning dam who is a half-sister to the yard's useful Riviera Sun and could go well on debut.
