FormscanBy Michael Graham - THE RUBINATOR can improve upon his seasonal reappearance third in a handicap hurdle at Galway. He had been off since September before reappearing at the festival in Ballybrit in first-time cheekpieces. The six-year-old gelding closed two out, but was understandably one paced in the straight in being beaten just over 10 lengths. The two horses in front of him have both obliged since, though, to give the form a real boost. The cheekpieces are retained. Empirion made light of a seven-month absence to take a maiden hurdle in Kilbeggan at the start of August by a healthy four and a half lengths, and rates a danger. Caridadi is another winner from that same card at Kilbeggan, and has to be respected. Rock On Seamie is two from three on the flat at Tipperary, but hasn't been placed in this sphere yet. Automatic landed a weak maiden hurdle in Limerick, but could hardly have done it any better in winning by seven lengths.
