FormscanBy Michael Graham - CRASSUS doesn't look badly handicapped on a mark of 68 and Maxine O'Sullivan claims a handy 5lb from him. On his last start on the Flat, at Navan in March, he chased home All Class who has since delivered in good style on the level and over hurdles. A recent spin around Bellewstown in a valuable handicap hurdle ought to have Crassus ripe for this. He appreciates cut in the ground, however, he was placed on fast ground at Roscommon last summer so he does handle it. Zoffanien is a big threat particularly after only being beaten just over four lengths into fourth in the Grade One champion 4yo hurdle at Punchestown in May. If the ground remains fast, it is an unknown for him but, being by Zoffany, he should have every chance of performing on it. This double handicap hurdle winner has never run on the Flat in Ireland (won twice on the level in France) and has to defy top weight, however, he could be chucked in after that Punchestown effort.
