FormscanBy Mark Nunan - Rated 90 at the beginning of last season, STAR OF CASHEL had dropped all the way down to 60 when lining up at Listowel on Tuesday. He bolted up in a 7f handicap there and is now 5lb well in under his mandatory penalty. A mile up the Curragh is a very different sort of test but he was fourth in a field of similar size in last year’s Irish Lincolnshire so that box is ticked as well. Knocknakilla has plenty of good form in the book but is still searching for a first win. He was second over 1m here on seasonal debut and ran well under Daniel King when third at Gowran last weekend. Dazzling Spirit got a dream run around the inner when winning over a longer trip at Clonmel. She had looked a somewhat reluctant heroine before that breakthrough success but could be the type to kick on from that confidence booster.
