FormscanBy Alan Magee - Enda Bolger is usually the first name to concentrate on in cross country races and SHADY OPERATOR may prove the pick of his trio. The selection won a beginners’ chase for Joseph O’Brien and was sent off at just 10/1 when pulled up in the 2019 Irish Grand National. He’s joined Bolger this season and, having lost any chance when badly hampered last time at the Limerick Christmas meeting, is sure to be well schooled for his first try at this discipline. Ballyboker Bridge has won this race twice in the past and also landed the prestigious La Touche over the banks in 2019. The veteran still retains plenty of ability having filled the runner-up spot on his latest start behind Neverushacon in the Risk Of Thunder Chase over this course and distance.
