FormscanBy Gary Carson - WATERVILLE was touted as a dark horse for the Derby at the start of the year and can have his day in the sun here by landing a massive pot. The Camelot gelding disappointed slightly by getting turned over in three maidens before opening his account in serious style over a similar trip to today's in handicap company at Limerick. He was last seen losing out by half a length to Point King in a rated race at Leopardstown and the winner franked that form with a Listed success subsequently. Waterville is open to further improvement and could be on a nice mark off 99. Willie Mullins saddles five in this, and also has the first reserve. He has a good record in the race and Lot of Joy may prove his best chance this time. She's another by Camelot and was an eye-catcher on her first outing for the yard when overcoming some traffic problems to finish fourth in the big amateur handicap at Galway. The former Swedish St Leger winner is entitled to improve a bit from that outing. Earl Of Tyrone ran a cracker when third in the Ebor at York on his penultimate start and back up in trip now he's another for any short-list.
