FormscanBy Tom Weekes - STAKER WALLACE stands out here as a proven high class hunter who can gain his first racecourse win. A lightly raced 9yo, he returned from a 1,078 days absence this year and has proven himself very capable, filling fourth place in the Cheltenham Foxhunters in March. His most recent runs in Open Point-to-Point were also solid efforts and he should prove good enough to win this. Super Citizen represents connections of the Foxhunters Chase winner and he too has shown useful form. He is a four-time point-to-point winner and while he has yet to win in three hunter chase outings, has nonetheless ran well when third in last year's renewal of this race and should give the selection a race. Fanamix won his latest two point-to-points but steps up markedly in grade while Welsh Reign and Michael's Pick step up from maiden company.
