FormscanBy Tom Weekes - JACK HACKETT hasn't won since September 2020 but is in good form and is suited by course, distance and good ground. He has won over CD in the past and bumped into a nicely handicapped winner, again over CD, last month and today's same rider again claims 7lb. Presenting Point failed to make use of his lower hurdles mark at Punchestown recently but nonetheless ran well and being a three-time chase winner who likes this distance and ground, should be competitive. My Manekineko, a nine-timer winner from 116 races, continues to run well and was a chase winner in March. Weihnachts is capable at this level but almost all his form in on testing ground. Progressive Sweet Will and Grangeclare Native (which ran well enough on handicap chase debut) complicate plans, being declared on Friday and Saturday respectively.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards rated 0-123Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
