FormscanBy Gary Carson - 2019 Irish National winner BURROWS SAINT can give weight and a beating to these rivals on his return to action. The seven-year-old won a similar contest over two-miles-three when last seen at Punchestown last New Year's Eve and this test of stamina will be more up his street. He dominated from the front in a small field then and similar tactics could be used here. Paul Townend chooses him over stable-mate Scarpeta and that looks significant. On paper Scarpeta looks the threat but hasn't been seen on the racecourse since March 2019. He is a course and distance winner here in the past but may be best watched after such a long absence. Dallas Des Pictons would be a big player off his hurdles mark of 142 but was completely tailed off over fences on his return this season so needs to leave that run well behind.
