FormscanBy Donal Murphy - A typically competitive renewal, with ten Irish trained horses among the twenty-two set to take part. Denise Foster, Willie Mullins and Joseph O'Brien are all doubly represented, while Dermot Weld, Denis Hogan, John McConnell and Noel Meade make up the Irish contingent with a runner apiece. Joseph O'Brien claimed this race in 2019 with Band Of Outlaws and he might strike again now with BUSSELTON. A winner over flights in his native France, he has since performed with credit in two starts since joining O'Brien, finishing behind leading Triumph Hurdle hopes Zanahiyr and Quilixios. The son of Mastercraftsman is fitted with cheekpieces for the first time now and in the colours of Chanelle Pharma Ltd, a big run looks likely. Saint Sam was a place ahead of the selection when they clashed at the Dublin Racing Festival and there is likely to be little between them again here. The Willie Mullins trained gelding won twice in France before arriving in Ireland and a first time hood is tried now. Mullins also saddles Youmdour who is sure to have plenty of supporters, while Coltor, for Dermot Weld, is another leading hope. Denis Hogan has booked Richard Johnson for the ride on Zoffanien and after an easy win at Naas last time out, it'll come as little surprise if he manages to follow-up. Top-weight Nassalam, Houx Gris for Paul Nicholls and Dan Skelton's Cabot Cliffs are the leading hopes for the home team.
