FormscanBy Tom Weekes - LIFE IN THE PARK, in the Gold Cup winning colours, has an interesting clash with Hunters Yarn. The selection was trained by Donnchadh Doyle when 15L clear of subsequent Downpatrick bumper Gris Majeur, and shaping like a high class type, when falling at the final fence at Fairyouse point-to-point last April and today races on suitably good ground, over 2m5f. Hunters Yarn, formerly with Pat Doyle, was well touted when beaten on debut but won in impressive style at Thurles and has since joined top connections. He is exciting but in contrast to the selection who has won a point-to-point, it is interesting connections have opted for a staying-distance maiden hurdle on reappearance run. Freedom To Dream bumped into Appreciate It when last seen in December 2019 and while he has proven form, reappears following a 697 days absence on hurdles debut. Sam's Choice has a race-fitness edge but was well held at Galway and is vulnerable to smart types. Johngus is fairly capable but this maiden looks beyond him.
