FormscanBy Michael Graham - There should be races to be won in this discipline with LIMERICK LACE. This is her third start over fences and she travelled well in Limerick over Christmas before being outgunned in second on the run-in. When she won a mares' maiden hurdle at Punchestown in January last year, trainer Gavin Cromwell commented that she would be a nice one to go chasing with. Alko Rouge is capable of running well off the front for a long way. Irish Blaze was well behind Limerick Lace in fourth at Limerick, but has an 8lb pull in the weights. Chameron performed more than creditably in third at Thurles in November considering he was making his first start for Patrick Griffin after an absence of more than a year and a half. This is quite a drop in trip, though.
