FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - Baltimore Bucko goes for American Hall of Fame trainer Jonathan Sheppard. He’s one of six horses under the supervision of Sheppard’s assistant Keri Brion and he’ll be travelling from County Wexford for this assignment. The team are based with Ellen Doyle and her brother James at Baltimore Stables in Coolgarrow Lane, Enniscorthy. Ger Galligan, an Irish native, and leading steeplechase rider in the U.S. this year, does the steering. Sheppard has never won a race in Europe and he hopes to change that in the months ahead. Baltimore Bucko is a lightly raced four-year-old that has shown promise and ended his year with an allowance win. He likely has enough on his plate trying to concede weight away all round here. It looks open enough all told and Fierami could be dangerous on debut for Gordon Elliott but NO GREY AREA’S is taken to build on his Clonmel success from 26 days ago.
