FormscanBy Mark Nunan - MEHMAR has been taking on some smart Royal Ascot-bound Ballydoyle colts and may be able to put that experience to good use. He had Saturday’s easy Navan winner Wodao just behind him in third when chasing home The Antarctic on debut at Naas. Although well beaten by Blackbeard when third in the Marble Hill over 6f at the Curragh, he still had two previous winners behind him and maybe dropping back to 5f will be more suitable. Open Market had Profitable Edge back in fifth when defying market weakness to make a winning debut at Cork. She showed speed from the outset to win snugly on soft ground and might be even better on a sound surface. Lady Tilbury had a run under her belt when also winning over 5f at Cork. She had three lengths to spare at the line and merits respect but she’s taking on better company here.
