FormscanBy Gary Carson - GEE REX has been placed in a couple of strong Leopardstown maiden hurdles and should be good enough to open his jumping account here. The Requinto gelding is a decent sort on the Flat and won four times for Joseph O'Brien before being claimed by current connections. He has shown up well since switching to jumping and either of his runner-up efforts would be good enough to land this. Hammersmith has a mark of 118 which would be good enough to win a lot of summer maiden hurdles. He chased home a classy sort in Bapaume in a conditions contest at Cork last time and looks the obvious danger to the selection back in a maiden. Clondaw Bertie is unexposed and could improve. He looked like being placed when falling at Fairyhouse in November and makes his first outing since. Given that he won a point-to-point he may need further than this in time.
