FormscanBy Mark Nunan - HENRY STAR had a few fair runs in maiden hurdles but seemed to leave that form well behind when third to a 139-rated rival on his first chase start at Cork. He was only beaten 11 lengths with another useful type in second and Philip Fenton’s charge will be hard to beat if he runs to anything like that level. Winding River won over hurdles at this venue in March and ran quite well in a valuable auction contest at the Punchestown festival. He’s one of the more interesting chasing debutants in the line-up. Dual Flat winner Na Caith Tobac was rated 117 over hurdles less than a year ago and went close in a Leopardstown handicap in the spring. His mark has dropped enough to leave him eligible for this and if he takes to fences he would have too much toe for most of these.
