Formscan By Gary Carson - MICKEY THE STEEL is 10lb higher than when winning here last month but may be able to strike again in a moderate looking affair. The veteran has run well to finish placed back on the turf since and he may prove the safest option here. In A Hurry was third to the selection here three weeks ago and is entitled to get a bit close now at the revised weights. Lahore Da King won twice over course and distance last winter and didn’t run too badly on his latest turf outing. He has slipped a bit in the ratings and could play a bigger role now.

We just thought the rain might not have come for us, but enough came - it is yielding. This race was the plan after Bellewstown, he won this race two years ago. Rory gave him a great ride up the inside and he did it well. He might run the last day in the Curragh.

I was delighted. I've always thought a lot of that horse. His first run was in the Tatts Sales (Stakes, Curragh) and he wasn't really quite ready, and he ran really well. I stupidly ran him on soft, and then he ran here and he scoped so dirty. I think we will just give him a break now. Whether we get phone calls or not, he could be on the market. I'd love to have him for next year. I think he will make into a lovely horse for next year.

Billy was available, which surprised me, as his agent rang to say he could do 8st 13lb, as he's on a new diet or something! He was strong on him there and it was a lovely ride. I just was worried he wasn't going to get there and even when they flashed by the line, you'd rather be on the near side here than the far side. A short head is as good as five lengths, though. He has been running well and I think there's another race here for him soon.

she has won at the age of three, four, five and now six but he hard enough to train and is temperamental. She is hard work at the start and tries to kick other horses but on her day, she isn’t too bad. She won here previously so we thought the track would suit and the good ground suited, so there was a lot in her favour. She got a good ride as he managed to get her to jump out well: she had been slow out of stalls a lot lately but got over that today. Our last winner was back in December and the bigger the gap, the more you enjoy it.
