He probably had an inflated rating from coming third in the Dante, and has come down about 20 pounds since we got him. He probably parked a bit in front, and was waiting for them to come at him. He minds himself a bit and is a little bit soft, a bit cowardly. I doubt he'll go to Galway, he didn't enjoy the hustle and bustle there last year. He's lazy and it was totally an inadequate trip for him,. We had him in Chester at the weekend, but the ground went against him for that Listed race. We threw him into this race when it was small entries, it was a bit of an afterthought. The conditions suited, but we knew it was a bit short. Adam got after him early doors and he gave him a good ride. He just got there and it's great for the lads, he's been a great money-spinner for them. He wasn't a cheap horse when we bought him, but the fun they've got out of him has been unreal. He’s maybe had a couple of unlucky days,. He was a bit unlucky in Listowel one day and then he ran into one in Bellewstown. We were 11 lengths in front of the favourite (Obscenity) then but still got chinned by one. He’s had some lovely runs and he deserved to get a win under his belt. At Ballinrobe the last day it just didn’t work out, he had a bad draw and they went slow. He’s a nice straightforward horse and you’d be hoping there is more to come from him. He’s big and doesn’t have the most amazing action so I’d say a bit of juice helped and this is probably his ideal ground. We went hurdling with him, which didn’t really work out, but we’ll probably give it a go again at some stage. He schooled well but didn’t jump well in his runs. We’ll probably stick to the Flat for the moment and hopefully there is another day in him.
