Leaving the stalls, Sky Advocate (IRE), placed fourth, jumped sharply left-handed, at the same time as Transparent (IRE), placed fifth, jumped sharply right-handed, resulting in Wiltshire Lad (IRE), unplaced, the winner, Arctic Grey (IRE), San Juanito (GB), unplaced, and Fort George (GB), placed second, being hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sky Advocate (IRE) or Transparent (IRE).

An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference approaching the 1 furlong marker, involving Bintjeddah (GB), unplaced, ridden by Cieren Fallon and the winner, Arctic Grey (IRE), ridden by Pat Dobbs.

In the first incident, the interference was found to be accidental as Bintjeddah (GB) stepped right- handed, resulting in Arctic Grey (IRE) being tight for room.

A short time after, in the second incident, Dobbs was cautioned for careless riding, as he switched his mount left-handed into an insufficient gap, causing Fallon to take a slight check.

Following the race, David Probert reported that Wiltshire Lad (IRE), unplaced, ran too free; and Daniel Muscutt reported that Transparent (IRE), placed fifth, jumped right-handed leaving the stalls and ran too free.

THE RACE FOR CHICHESTER CATHEDRAL 950 YEARS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 3) Permission was given for MISS SHOW OFF to go early to post; for MARCHING MAC (IRE) and MICHAELA’S BOY (IRE) to both go early to post, wearing a red hood; and for ENCHANTING, MC LOVEN and MOULIN BOOJ (IRE) to all wear a red hood to post.

Shortly after the start, MC LOVEN, unplaced, edged left-handed, at the same time as MICHAELA’S BOY (IRE), placed third, edged slightly right-handed, resulting in the rider of the winner, ENCHANTING, taking a check when short for room, which resulted in ALMATY STAR (IRE), placed fourth, MOULIN BOOJ (IRE), unplaced, and KISS AND RUN, unplaced, being short for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of MICHAELA’S BOY (IRE).

An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, involving MICHAELA’S BOY (IRE), placed third, ridden by Luke Morris and KISS AND RUN, unplaced, ridden by Mason Paetel.

Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Paetel was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.

Morris was cautioned for careless riding as he switched his mount right-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Paetel to take a slight check.

Following the race, Grace McEntee reported that MARCHING MAC (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approximately 1 furlong out.
