That’s great. She’s the lowest rated horse we have in the yard. We were hoping she’d win one and hopefully she wins another little one somewhere. We rode her too handy here in her first handicap and probably learned from that. I don’t know if there’s anyone better than Cian to ride one like that. He’s very good to drop one in and judge the pace.

The Raceday Stewards fined John Joseph Hanlon, trainer €65 for failing to fit cheekpieces to Miss Oreo prior to entering the parade ring
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident three furlongs from home involving Bayou Belle, ridden by P.T
Smithers, placed third, Ladies Well, ridden by C.M. Quirke, placed first and Love Bite, ridden by A.P. Kelly, unplaced, where it appeared contact was made. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards interviewed B. Hayes, rider of Doyen Flyer, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that B. Hayes was in breach of R10.3(g)(excessive frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for three racedays. Mr. A. Ring recused himself from this enquiry and was replaced by Senior Stipendary Steward Mr. L. Walsh.
