The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Silent Selector, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed first, and Inchidaly Copper, ridden by Mr A. Burke-Ott, placed second, where it appeared contact was made between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from G.E. O'Leary, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Silent Selector, placed first, as compared with its most recent run at Wexford on the 6th of August. G.E. O'Leary reported that his charge missed the break the last day and the drop in grade today may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given
D.E. Mullins, rider of Glendine Billy, trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up injured
Sam Ewing, rider of Notevenatext, trained by Brendan Maurice Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up injured
C.M. Quirke, rider of Thats All, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount took a false step coming down the hill the last time.
