He was a little unlucky in Leopardstown, when he got his gap it closed again. I thought if there was a little horse that deserved his win it was him so I’m delighted he got it today. I thought with the ground drying out and a mile here it might be a bit on the sharp side for him. Shane Foley said to me one day to maybe put a bit of headgear on him, it might help him concentrate, so a big thanks to him for guiding me along. It did help, the horse was sharper there today for the visor and raced in her hands. I left it to herself today. I thought with the wide draw and the ground drying out that we weren’t going to be involved. I just told her to be positive and best of luck. Thank God, it’s a great day. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the back bend, involving Rochester Mike, ridden by J

Pietropaolo, unplaced, Jazz Dreamers, ridden by J.E. Harnett, unplaced and Deuteronomy, ridden by Nicola Burns, placed first, where it appeared Rochester Mike caught the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J

Pietropaolo stated that when changing his stick hand, his mount shied to the right a step. Nicola Burns stated that she suffered no interference. J.E. Harnett stated that his mount spooked at the dislodged railing momentarily

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied no further action was warranted

The Raceday Stewards interviewed T. Casey rider of Carrickfinn (GB, placed second, where he appeared to stop riding before reaching the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of N.G

McCullagh, Jockey Coach. T. Casey stated that he got unbalanced close to the line and momentarily stopped riding but felt it had not cost him the winning of the race. Having considered the matter, The Raceday Stewards excepted the rider’s explanation and took no further action

S. Coen, rider of Higher Kingdom (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount became upset in the stalls

R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Share The Treasure, trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stood in the stalls

C.D. Fahy, rider of Esque Elegance, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped leaving the stalls and pulled up.
